Artists-in-Residence Ceramic Exhibitions | Through August 2
Clay Art Center hosts concurrent exhibitions by its artists-in-residence, Carley Holzem, Christine Raposas and Stephanie Perez. Featuring all original pieces of ceramic sculptures and pottery, the exhibitions highlight themes of fantasy, LGTBQ+ culture, nature, transformation, parasitism and more. Gallery hours: Tues-Sat. 10am-5pm; Mon. 10am-3pm.

Audiovisual Tea Hut Art Installation | Through August 17
Resonance, now on view at Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden, is an audiovisual installation in the museum’s tea hut. The exhibition, created by media artist Jessica Reisch, features several audio recordings meant to reveal the garden’s underwater ecosystem and immerse its audience in the tea hut’s soundscape. Museum and garden hours are Wed-Sun 11am-5pm.

Ballet Under the Stars | July 5
Untermeyer Performing Arts Council, in collaboration with Connecticut Ballet, presents Ballet Under the Stars. The performance will take place at Untermeyer Park and Gardens and will feature a combination of classical and contemporary ballet, including recognizable duets from Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Guests are asked to bring a picnic and blanket to this outdoor performance. At 6:30pm.

Choral Works by Haydn and Mozart | July 8 & 15
Westchester Choral Society (WCS) continues its 45th season of Summer Sings, a series of events that feature notable choral works and are each conducted by a guest conductor. The final concerts of the summer will feature Haydn’s The Creation (in English) with conductor and WCS Director Emeritus Frank Nemhauser, and Mozart’s Requiem conducted by New Choral Society’s Dr. John T. King. Both performances take place at the Memorial United Methodist Church in White Plains. 7pm.

Fiesta! With Flor | July 10
White Plains Public Library presents Fiesta! With Flor, a family-friendly multicultural musical celebration. GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Flor Bromley celebrates Latin culture by blending global rhythms and dynamic storytelling through her bilingual music performances. Families are invited to explore different music genres through dance, story and songs. At 6:30pm.

Pleasantville Music Festival | July 12
Pleasantville Music Festival returns for its 19th season with world-class headliners, emerging musicians and local artists at Parkway Field. This year’s headliner is folk-rock band Dawes. Other featured groups include gospel band Robert Randolph and Friends, country-pop singer Jessica Lynn, and more. Alongside other family programming, Rock and Roll Playhouse will engage families with a kid-friendly program dedicated to the music of Taylor Swift. At 1pm.

A Day of Bee-Themed Activities | July 12
As part of its Summer Saturday series, Historic Hudson Valley hosts Hive & Honey, a full day dedicated to bees and their role in the ecosystem. Led by Nyack Pollinator Pathways, families are invited to create paper beehives, sample local honey, decorate their own flowerpot and participate in colonial-style candle dipping. Warner Library will also host a bilingual read-aloud of bee-centered books. Sessions are scheduled in thirty-minute increments between 10am to 3pm. Registration required.

Shakespeare’s As You Like It | July 11-August 12
M&M Performing Arts and Red Monkey Theater Group present performances of As You Like It in the Palm Court at Lyndhurst Mansion. Shakespeare’s classic comedy follows heroine Rosalind who, in the Forest of Arden, disguises herself as a man only to fall in love with the chivalrous Orlando. Performances will take place in Lyndhurst’s new open-air theater. Access to the picnic area begins at 4:30pm; performances start at 6pm. No late seating.
